Unique blades:
Silky saw blades are manufactured from authentic high-end Japanese steel and are laser-cut. The blades are of unparalleled quality: they are very hard and strong, yet remain flexible thanks to the soft metal core.
- Hard and wear-resistant
The chemical composition of the metal combined with the unique heating and cooling process determines the high hardness of the metal. The high carbon content leads to high wear resistance, so the cutting edge remains sharp for a very long time.
- Soft and flexible
The saws are forged in such a way that the core of the teeth is made of soft metal, giving the blade a flexibility that bites into the wood with ease.
Silky saws, like all Japanese saws, are designed to CUT ON THE PULL STROKE. They guarantee a precise, effortless cut. You must never force the cut; LET THE SAW DO THE WORK—you will avoid unnecessary fatigue, prevent damage to the blade, and extend its lifespan.
The position of your hand on the handle affects how the wood is cut. When you hold the handle close to the blade, you apply less pressure and cut smaller amounts of wood. This allows you to perform more precise tasks. When you hold the saw further from the blade, you will saw faster but with much less precision.
Take care of your saw. Keep the blade clean, otherwise cutting efficiency will be reduced. Resin dissolves with olive oil, an effective, gentle, and eco-friendly way to maintain the blade. Be careful: using harsh products could damage the handle coating.
Always dry the saw thoroughly after use, then store it in the provided sheath. Keep it in a dry place.
