ULTRA LIGHT UMBRELLA - ULTRA LIGHT UMBRELLA - BROWN - SNOW PEAK
Maximum rain protection in a pocket-sized format! This ultra-light and compact umbrella goes from a 22 cm folded size to an 85 cm diameter in a snap.
Featherweight: it weighs 134g, the equivalent... of half a stick of butter :)
The secret to this exceptional ratio lies in its 8 triple-articulated telescopic ribs. An "accordion" mechanism that allows its dimensions to be drastically reduced.
Ultra-tech, it is designed to fold under strong gusts of wind to prevent any damage. Its frame is made of a blend of carbon for flexibility in the wind and aeronautical aluminum for the rigidity of the joints.
- Weight: 134 g
- Span: 85 cm diameter when open
- Total deployed length: 53 cm
- Ultra-compact format: 22 cm when folded (the size of a small water bottle).
- Structure: 8 articulated ribs blending carbon, aluminum, and ABS.
- High-performance canopy: 30D polyester with Teflon treatment for instant drying.
- Wind resistance: articulated design that allows the umbrella to invert without breaking under gusts.
Yukio Yamai founded Snow Peak in 1958, named after Mount Tanigawa, a Japanese mountain famous for its beauty. The quality, technology, and durability of Snow Peak products make it the benchmark brand for Japanese outdoor gear.
Yukio Yamai founded Snow Peak in 1958, inspired by Mount Tanigawa, a Japanese mountain famous for its beauty, but also for its danger and the many failures of mountaineers attempting to reach its glorious summit.
Drawing on his personal experiences (he reached the summit himself several times), he created innovative mountaineering equipment, utilizing the skills of renowned artisans in Sanjo, who specialize in metalwork (the city where our tools and some Niwaki knives are produced).
In the 1970s, his son Tohru decided to expand the range to include camping and the outdoor lifestyle.
His feelings of frustration and disconnection while in the city would vanish when he spent time in nature—a form of healing that was both restorative and revitalizing.
Today, Snow Peak’s mission remains the same: to offer and create restorative outdoor experiences that alleviate the stresses of modern life and help people reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world.
