FORIS BOWL - BOWL / CASSEROLE - 19.5 CM - SAND BEIGE - KINTO

Enamelled stainless steel bowl, 19.5 cm diameter. Can also be used as a saucepan with its detachable handle (sold separately), as well as a baking dish. For a lid, use the FORIS 19.5 cm plate.

FORIS is functional beauty. A collection of enamelled stainless steel tableware designed for camping, barbecues, and outdoor living, for the home and everyday life. The clean design and natural colors blend perfectly into the wilderness, in harmony with the landscape.

Practical, easy to store and transport, each piece stacks like a camping mess kit. The stainless steel is thin and lightweight, yet sturdy and rust-resistant.

The originality of Kinto's design lies in its multi-functionality, thanks to the slot created on the side, which allows each piece to be used with a detachable handle to turn it into a cooking utensil: FORIS is not just a plate, bowl, or cup, it’s a frying pan, a saucepan, a lid, or a baking dish. The slot also allows the tableware to be hung on hooks for easy drying. Unlike classic enamelled tableware with curved edges, the thin, straight-edged design prevents water from pooling, which speeds up drying.

Properties of FORIS enamel:

• Stainless steel base: it does not rust
• Very sturdy, durable, and lightweight stackable pieces
• Stain and odor resistant
• Suitable for direct heat, gas or electric, oven, wood fire
• Dishwasher safe
• CAUTION: do not use in the microwave

JIN KURAMOTO

To create this collection, Kinto called upon Jin Kuramoto, an industrial designer with a passion for the outdoors and an experienced fisherman. Renowned for giving project concepts and stories a distinct form, he contributed numerous ideas derived from his personal experience, such as the slots in the bowl to facilitate drying and the attachment for the handle to transform them into kitchen utensils.

Jun is a director of the Japan Creative Association and vice-chairman of the Good Design Award evaluation committee.

KINTO

Kinto was founded in 1979 in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, in a rural landscape with no train station or main road nearby.

This is where designers create simple, beautiful, and functional objects: a Japanese philosophy designed for everyday life.

Since 2023, the KINTO FARM has been launched, a farm built from scratch on raw soil, the exploration field for a way of life connected to nature, the seasons, and the community.

KINTO encourages a sustainable lifestyle, creates designs that adapt to all ways of life—sedentary or nomadic, indoor or outdoor—designs that accompany you everywhere, at any time of the day.
