With the bird call, it is possible to imitate its usual "tUi-tUi-tUi" call. Hold the bird call like a pipe. Blow in short, quick bursts: "tUi-tUi-tUi". Try to create a lively sound, with a beginning (t), a peak (u), and an end (i), that are both distinct and blended. The nuthatch is very vocal! Quelle Est Belle Company bird calls have been handcrafted for over 40 years by François Morel and his team in the Drôme region, on a farm in the heart of lush, preserved nature.
This is where he designs, painstakingly develops, and tests all of his creations.
Each bird call is unique, turned, assembled, and varnished by hand.
He uses only natural, local wood species, such as boxwood, beech, or linden.
There are only 2 bird call manufacturers left in France; the other is dedicated to hunting.

From the age of 6, François Morel (not the actor, mind you) began to fascinate himself with birds.
“I’m completely crazy about them, that’s for sure. When I was very small, what I wanted was to talk to animals. I believe it works. Thanks to my speech tools, I manage to get a little closer to birds, listen to them, answer them, and have, from time to time, exchanges…”
A naturalist and ornithologist, François Morel has a passion for crafting his bird calls. Rather than using them to kill, François wanted the calls to become a tool for observing birds.
To create these instruments, he combines two qualities. “It’s a story of craftsmanship and a love story.”
He founded his company, “Quelle est belle company,” more than forty years ago in the Diois region, in the north of the Drôme.
