1945: Tempered glass is glass heated to 700°C and rapidly cooled. This makes it 6x more resistant than standard glass, capable of withstanding temperatures of 130°C and more. Originally used in industry, Duralex was the first manufacturer to use it for tableware and everyday products.

1961: Launch of the first "mass-dyed" glass, a revolutionary technique created by Duralex, which allows its colors to retain their brilliance, even after years.
