Superb ceramic cooking and serving set from Snow Peak,

The Donabe ("earthenware pot" in Japanese) is traditionally used for preparing rice, which it cooks to perfection. It is also ideal for all slow-cooked dishes, stews, and soups.

This ceramic is designed to retain and distribute heat evenly, allowing the Donabe to heat up gradually. Slow and uniform cooking develops deep flavors and preserves nutrients.

Very practical, this pack includes one Donabe, 2 bowls, 2 plates, and 2 protective bags. It packs down like a camping cookset, with the plates inside the Donabe, for cooking anywhere, whether in your kitchen or outdoors.

Bonus: the perfect rice recipe by Azusa Kondo here 🔥

Yukio Yamai founded Snow Peak in 1958, referencing Mount Tanigawa, a Japanese mountain famous for its beauty, but also for its danger and the many failures of mountaineers attempting to reach its glorious summit.

Drawing on his personal experiences (he reached the summit himself several times), he created innovative mountaineering equipment, utilizing the expertise of renowned Sanjo craftsmen specializing in metalwork (the city where our tools and some Niwaki knives are produced).

In the 70s, his son Tohru decided to expand the offering to include camping and the outdoor lifestyle.

His feeling of frustration and disconnection while in the city would disappear when spending time in nature—a sort of healing, restorative and revitalizing.

Today, Snow Peak’s mission remains the same: to offer and create restorative outdoor experiences to alleviate the stress of modern life and reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world.
