"The earth is our brush, the stones are our pencils and the years of wear are our art."
Klättermusen was founded in 1975 by a group of mountaineers in the picturesque mountain village of Åre, Sweden. Initially a small DIY workshop for building custom technical solutions to challenges encountered on the slopes, Klättermusen has transformed into a pioneering company for cutting-edge equipment, one of the first brands to use only organic and recycled materials, striving above all for FUNCTIONALITY and DURABILITY. The collections are rigorously tested in real-world conditions.
Since building its first equipment in 1975, Klättermusen has strived to minimize the impact of its activities on the environment. Its constant goal: to manufacture the most durable equipment possible.
The lifecycle is at the heart of product design, from the eco-friendly materials used upstream to the durability and repairability of each piece, so that its lifespan is optimized to the maximum.
Each piece is guaranteed and repairable; the philosophy has remained the same since the beginning: repair equipment until it falls apart and continuously strive to improve constructions.
Klättermusen sources post-consumer waste, explores possibilities for reusing raw materials, launches new manufacturing processes, and constantly improves the functionality of its equipment.
This practical approach has resulted in the development of exclusive materials and techniques: the company switched to 100% organic cotton in 2006, introduced nylon made from recycled fishing nets into all backpacks in 2009, launched its recycling system in 2009, and became the first outdoor brand in history to achieve a 100% PFC-free collection in September 2017.
The result is extremely durable outdoor equipment, manufactured according to the highest standards of professional mountaineering.
Klättermusen was founded in 1975 by a tight-knit group of local mountaineers in the picturesque mountain village of Åre, Sweden.
Initially a small DIY workshop for assembling parts and building custom technical solutions to the challenges encountered on the slopes, Klättermusen transformed into a company providing outdoor enthusiasts with high-performance equipment in the 1980s.
The pioneering spirit initiated at the creation of Klättermusen remains at the heart of the company, one of the first brands to use only organic and recycled materials, prioritizing FUNCTIONALITY and DURABILITY above all else.
Klättermusen supports and inspires outdoor enthusiasts in unforgiving weather conditions and on unpredictable terrain. Bags and clothing are rigorously tested in real-world conditions; the equipment embodies Klättermusen's commitment to creating the best, most durable products possible.
