KNOWLEDGE & CRAFT - OBJECTS AND GESTURES OF THE PAST - EMMA BRUSCHI
In the past, in every village, people spun wool, braided straw and wicker, mended clothes, churned their own butter... Domestic skills passed down from generation to generation, with a love for fine craftsmanship.
With SAVOIR & FAIRE, Emma Bruschi shares the history of these magnificent objects, witnesses to the folk crafts of yesteryear,
She explains how to use and make them yourself, teaches us how to make butter, sourdough starter, or vinegar, create a harvest bouquet, make natural wax candles, weave baskets, crates, and proofing baskets, build a beehive out of brambles, and so much more, including ancestral recipes and tutorials for creating fantastic works.
An artisan and designer, recipient of the 2020 19M Métiers d'Art prize from Chanel, Emma Bruschi helps us rediscover these forgotten techniques. She presents a small collection of ten rural objects emblematic of folk art to share their history, reconnect with these movements, and inspire the desire to create.
A return to the source: the material, the hand, and the tool. Knowledge and craft.

The work of Anaïs Barelli, a freelance photographer, sits at the intersection of press reportage, still life, and fashion. Her keen sense of observation and sensitivity allow her to capture poetic images. She documents to preserve fading memories, landscapes shaped by the seasons, and traditional farming techniques.
Emma Bruschi is a multidisciplinary artist navigating between fashion, design, craftsmanship, and agriculture. A graduate of the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD) with a Master's degree in Fashion and Accessory Design, she was the winner of the 19M Métiers d’Art Prize from Chanel at the 35th International Festival of Fashion in Hyères in 2020 for her collection "Almanach".
Since 2021, she has combined her work as a farmer and designer by growing rye on the family farm, which she uses for the production of her jewelry, clothing, accessories, and harvest bouquets.
