Large spreading or butter knife, traditionally used in Catalonia for Sobrasada. Each knife is unique and hand-sharpened.

Its rounded tip makes it suitable for use as a child's kitchen knife,

It matches the boxwood-handled spoon and knife sets in the Pallares range,

Handcrafted in Solsona, a small, preserved town in Catalonia at the foot of the Pyrenees, where the knife industry is a tradition dating back to the 16th century. The Pallares company, founded in 1917, is managed today by David Pallares, a third-generation master cutler.

Pallares is renowned for the quality of its steel and the sharpness of its blades, all of which are finished and sharpened by hand.

Famous for its knives, the artisanal company still produces hand-forged garden tools in the purest Catalan tradition. Highly functional and efficient, they are magnificent testaments to ancestral craftsmanship.

Solsona is a small, well-preserved town in Catalonia, at the foot of the Pyrenees, where the knife industry is a tradition dating back to the 16th century.

This industry reached its peak there in the 18th century, when it comprised 24 workshops grouped within the guild of Saint Eloi, the patron saint of cutlers. Today, only one remains... that of Pallares.

The Pallares company was founded in 1917 by brothers Lluis and Carles Pallares Canal. It is managed today by David Pallares, the 3rd generation of master cutlers.

If Pallares still exists today, it is because, unlike the other craftsmen in the town, it succeeded in modernizing in the 1960s and expanding its market to the rest of Spain and Europe.

It is also, and above all, thanks to the quality of its steel! And the quality of the cutting edge of its blades, all of which are hand-finished and sharpened!

Famous for its knives, the artisanal company still produces garden tools forged by hand in the purest Catalan tradition. Highly functional and efficient, they are magnificent witnesses to ancestral know-how.
