The brass-finished head allows gentle watering in fine rain. Without the head, it allows precise watering, at the base of the plants, without wetting the foliage.
Kovotvar has been producing accessories for the garden and home, with a simple and functional design since 1953. Manufacturing at the Kúty workshop, Slovakia, has remained completely artisanal. Kovotvar products require little maintenance, they are extremely strong, waterproof, and last a very, very long time.
The Top’la cooperative was founded in 1953 in Kúty, Slovakia, by wheelwrights, carpenters, and blacksmiths. In 1964, it became KOVOTVAR, having merged with other local cooperatives; it grew and expanded its scope of activities by taking over the production of galvanized goods and the modernization of zinc furnaces.
During the communist era, Kovotvar Kúty supplied the entire Slovak population with galvanized zinc buckets and watering cans. Today, these home and garden accessories, with their simple, practical, and timeless design, have not changed.
Manufacturing has remained entirely artisanal; while competitors coat their products with zinc on automated lines, in Kúty, it is done by hand, always in pursuit of the highest manufacturing quality.
Long service life and low costs make hot-dip galvanizing the most economical method of protecting steel against corrosion, and zinc plating reduces energy consumption.
Unlike conventional industrial varnishes, electrostatic powder coatings avoid the use of chemical solvents and release very few volatile compounds, both of which are hazardous to health and the environment. They allow for the manufacture of objects suitable for indoor use, objects suitable for food contact, or toys for children. It is highly resistant to moisture, UV rays, corrosion, impact, scratches, etc. It offers an excellent service life and requires minimal maintenance.
It is for all these reasons that Kovotvar products are extremely healthy, solid, completely watertight, and last for a very, very long time.
