Unique blades:
Silky saw blades are manufactured from authentic high-end Japanese steel and are laser-cut. The blades are of unparalleled quality: they are very hard and strong, yet remain flexible thanks to the soft core of the metal.
- Hard and wear-resistant
The chemical composition of the metal combined with a unique heating and cooling process determines the high hardness of the metal. The high carbon content leads to high wear resistance, so the cutting edge remains sharp for a very long time.
- Soft and flexible
The saws are forged in such a way that the core of the teeth consists of soft metal, giving the blade flexibility that bites into wood with ease.
Silky saws, like all Japanese saws, are designed to CUT ON THE PULL STROKE. They guarantee a precise, effortless cut. You must never force the cut; LET THE SAW DO THE WORK, and you will not tire yourself out unnecessarily, you will not damage it, and you will extend its service life.
The position of your hand on the handle changes how the wood is cut. When you hold the handle with your hand close to the blade, you exert little pressure and cut small amounts of wood. This allows you to perform more precise tasks. When you handle the saw with your hand far from the blade, you saw faster but with much less precision.
Take care of your saw. Keep the blade clean, otherwise, the cutting efficiency will be reduced. Resin dissolves with olive oil, an effective, gentle, and ecological way to maintain the blade. Be careful: if you use an aggressive product, it could damage the handle's coating.
Always dry the saw well after use, then store it in the provided sheath. Keep it in a dry place.
