FOLDING SAW - GOMBOY - 240/10 - SILKY
Silky's iconic model, the Gomboy, created in 1985, has become the universal standard for folding saws to this day. Upon its release, it received the coveted Japanese Good-Design award.
Complete and versatile saw, with a clean and precise cut, created for tree pruning and orchard maintenance, it is widely used for woodworking, construction and outdoor activities.
Foldable, compact, lightweight, it has a 24 cm blade which folds smoothly thanks to the locking system and has two different cutting positions.
The toothed part is hard but the body of the blade remains flexible, which gives it the exceptional resistance that characterizes SILKY blades, and allows astonishing cutting performance.
The rubber handle of the Gomboy ensures a good grip, even in the rain.
Comes with a transparent hard case.
Silky saws have been manufactured since 1919 in Ono, Japan, a city famous for the purity of its steels. More than 100 years of experience have allowed Silky to obtain unrivaled know-how, combining ancestral knowledge, artisanal work and cutting-edge technologies, to create these saws renowned among the best in the world, both for their cutting quality and their endurance.

Unique blades:
Silky saw blades are made from authentic high-end Japanese steel and are laser cut. The blades are of unparalleled quality: they are very hard and strong, yet remain flexible at the same time thanks to the soft metal core.
- Hard and wear-resistant
The chemical composition of the metal combined with the unique heating and cooling process determines the high hardness of the metal. The high carbon content leads to high wear resistance, so the edge remains sharp for a very long time.
- Soft and flexible
The saws are forged in such a way that the core of the teeth is made of soft metal, giving the blade a flexibility that allows it to bite into wood with ease.
Silky saws, like all Japanese saws, are designed to CUT ON THE PULL STROKE. They guarantee a precise, effortless cut. You must never force the cut; LET THE SAW DO ITS JOB. You will not tire yourself unnecessarily, you will not damage the tool, and you will extend its lifespan.
The position of your hand on the handle changes the way the wood is cut. When you hold the handle with your hand close to the blade, you exert little pressure and cut smaller amounts of wood. This allows you to perform more precise tasks. When you handle the saw with your hand far from the blade, you saw faster but with much less precision.
Take care of your saw. Keep the blade clean, otherwise cutting efficiency will be reduced. Resin dissolves with olive oil, an effective, gentle, and eco-friendly way to maintain the blade. Be careful, as using an aggressive product could damage the handle's coating.
Always dry the saw well after use, then store it in the provided sheath. Keep it in a dry place.
