Hyper realistic and exciting to make, enchant your world with these magnificent life-size cardboard birds.

The merlin falcon is the smallest European falcon. Very fast and very agile, it flies low to the ground to hunt small birds which it captures by surprise. To deceive prey, it sometimes flies like a thrush (slightly undulating flight, series of wing strokes alternating with glides) or engages in rapid aerial pursuit flight. A patient hunter, he is generally found perched on a fence post, on the lookout for prey.

The name “Merlin”, the enchanter of King Arthur, comes from his ability to change into a merlin falcon (known as “merlin” in English)

DIMENSIONS: 25 x 51 cm

MATERIAL: Printed card stock

MANUFACTURE: United Kingdom

Created in 1976, these bird mobiles are 3-dimensional paper cut-outs. They are made up of a set of various color-printed cardboard pieces. Cutting and assembling them provides hours of exciting creative fun. The order in which the pieces must be assembled is precisely indicated and must be strictly followed according to the instructions.

To be assembled with an adult, or alone from approximately 12 years of age.

These birds are imported from the United Kingdom in partnership with Quelle est Belle Company.

"People might think I'm a bit of a crackpot, but oh well..."

From the age of 6, François Morel (not the actor, mind you) began to fascinate himself with birds.

"I'm completely crazy about them, that's for sure. When I was a little boy, what I wanted was to talk to animals. I believe it works. Thanks to my vocal tools, I manage to get a little closer to birds, listen to them, answer them, and, from time to time, have exchanges..."

A naturalist and ornithologist, François Morel dedicates his passion to crafting bird calls. Rather than using them to kill, François wanted the calls to become a tool for observing birds.

To create these instruments, he blends two qualities. "It's a story of craftsmanship and a love story."

He established his company, "Quelle est belle company," over forty years ago in the Diois region, in the north of the Drôme.

Fun fact 😉: Björk recently fell in love with his work. She released a Deluxe version of her album "Utopia" accompanied by 14 bird calls, the "Utopia Bird Call Box," manufactured by QBC.
