Traditionally woven in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, a majestic and isolated mountain range in southern Bulgaria. This region, known for its preserved nature and resilient communities, is home to a weaving tradition passed down for centuries.

We worked with a responsible company, created to preserve the unique weaving expertise of local artisans, using wool from "Karakachan" sheep, a rare Bulgarian breed that was on the verge of extinction a few decades ago.

Care:

Natural wool possesses antiseptic and water-repellent properties. It contains a natural oil that makes it "waterproof," so dirt stays on the surface. We mainly recommend airing your blanket outdoors. If you must wash it, hand wash or dry clean is recommended; otherwise, machine wash on a cold cycle using a special wool detergent, do not wring, and do not tumble dry.
