ROUND FLOWER POT - BATYLINE FABRIC - GREEN/YUCCA - BACSAC®
An ultra-light, flexible, and portable pot, ideal for all types of cultivation on your balcony, terrace, in your garden, and of course, indoors.
Made from Batyline canvas, traditionally used in architecture or for crafting outdoor furniture, the BACSAC® recreates open-ground conditions and supports the growth of your plants, allowing the soil to breathe and excess water to drain. Ultra-durable, it is designed to last.
Originally created to facilitate and encourage urban gardening, the classic round pot is the essential BACSAC® model. Its handles make it easy to move your plants, even in the hardest-to-reach places. Available here in 3 sizes, it supports the growth of your plants, from seed to tree.
Unfold, fill with soil, and plant! (For indoor use, place a saucer under the pot)

BACSAC®, founded in Paris in 2008, is a French company that creates flexible plant containers and gardening tools.
While nature is the source of inspiration for BACSAC®, the city is their preferred playground. Lack of access to open ground, contaminated soil, weight and space constraints: a BACSAC® is a patch of land on the pavement.
BACSAC®'s ambition is to offer a relevant, practical, and sustainable solution to the many challenges posed by reintroducing nature into the city, and to cater to all types of spaces: from the smallest balconies to large-scale landscaping projects.
Just unfold it and fill it with soil!
A layer of clay pebbles is not necessary for drainage, but is useful for creating a natural water reservoir.
Your BACSAC® is washable and foldable if you wish to store it away.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
In contact with soil and outdoor life, traces of moss or limescale may appear on the fabric. To clean them, nothing could be simpler:
1. Scrape off surface deposits with a knife blade
2. Scrub the marks using a stiff brush dipped in a mixture of hot water and white vinegar
3. Rinse the fabric with clear water
Very effective for moss but less so for limescale, the fabric can also be cleaned with a high-pressure jet.
Once emptied of its soil, your BACSAC is also machine washable at 30°C.
PRINCIPLE: In a traditional pot, roots grow in a spiral along the wall, which can create a root ball that weakens the plant, especially in extreme temperatures. In a BACSAC®, the root system is denser and more balanced. When the root reaches the textile wall, its growth stops upon contact with the air, and the plant develops new roots. The roots thus seek out nutrients throughout the entire root ball, promoting harmonious plant growth.
TECHNIQUE: Designed to be in direct contact with the soil, the BACSAC® is a container made of a double wall: an inner geotextile felt that contains and protects the roots, combined with an outer fabric that is ultra-resistant to tearing, abrasion, and temperature variations.
PERMEABLE: The technical feature of the BACSAC® is its permeability, which maintains the necessary balance between air, soil, and water, thereby approximating conditions found in open ground. Indeed, it must be permeable to allow the soil and roots to breathe and to allow excess water to drain/evaporate. Plants cannot thrive in an airtight container without air or drainage. To protect your floors, place a saucer underneath.
DURABLE: With a lifespan of 7 to 10 years, the BACSAC® is a long-lasting product. It does not break, deform, or fade. Its component materials are designed to be in contact with soil and to withstand outdoor conditions, even extreme ones, throughout the year. Its fibers are entirely recyclable.
VERSATILE: Offering significant depth and soil capacity, the BACSAC® is suitable for all crops, whether vegetable or ornamental. Its multiple shapes and sizes allow it to adapt to different outdoor space configurations.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND FLEXIBLE: The BACSAC® was designed to be portable and easy to move. Its lightness allows it to circumvent potential weight constraints when installed on a balcony or terrace. Flexible, the soil gives it its shape; it is therefore not sharp and is suitable for both children and adults.
PRACTICAL: Simply unfold it and fill it with soil! A layer of clay pebbles is not necessary for drainage but is useful for creating a natural water reserve. Your BACSAC® is washable (see our care instructions below) and foldable if you wish to store it.
"THE CITY IS A GARDEN, LET US CULTIVATE ITS EVERY CORNER."
BACSAC® was born in Paris in 2008, from an inspired meeting between a designer passionate about nature, Godefroy de Virieu, and two landscapers involved in bringing nature back into the city, Virgile Desurmont and Louis de Fleurieu.
Together, they dreamed of a freer urban nature, unburdened by weight and space constraints, and set out to find an alternative to traditional plant pots that would address the challenges of creating a corner of nature.
They invented a new type of geotextile container—flexible, lightweight, and nomadic. The idea of planting in bags stems from the desire to change habits, enhance what truly matters—the plants themselves—and return to the simple principle of containing soil to cultivate it. A fabric to which they gave forms and uses, allowing for the cultivation of the city in its every corner. Aesthetic, intelligent, and easy-to-use objects, standing at the intersection of design and landscape.
Since then, the roots of BACSAC® have branched out to find their way onto windowsills, balconies, terraces, and gardens in many cities around the world, facilitating access to soil as a response to asphalt.
BACSAC® is a company on a human scale, guided by a family spirit that is open to the world.
All models are conceived in the BACSAC® Parisian studio, the fabrics come from French and Italian suppliers, and production is carried out by their long-standing partner in Romania.
