Called in England a "gold prospector's pan", its handles allow it to take up little storage space, but above all to go from the fire to the oven, ideal for grabbing a product before putting it in the oven, cooking a a nice rib of beef or a duck breast, a vegetable gratin browned in a pan, or simply to keep food warm in the oven.
Unwearable, improving over time, a Netherton product is passed down from generation to generation.

Care:
- Simply wash with hot water.
- Do not use soap or detergent.
- Dry immediately.
- If necessary, re-season your pan, lid, wok, pot or dish by following the instructions here: https://www.netherton-foundry.co.uk/product_care/cast-black-spun-iron-care
- Oven seasoning is gentler than stovetop seasoning and also provides a better finish.
Use:
- Be patient; before flipping food, let the Maillard reaction take place—it’s so much better! Surface caramelization preserves the food's natural juices while keeping the inside tender. It will release easily.
- Do not cook food straight from the refrigerator; let it come to room temperature.
- Heat slowly, then you can increase to full power. This is particularly important if you are using powerful heat sources such as induction.
- Remove handle covers for use in the oven or under the broiler; it’s super simple.
- Never plunge a hot pan into cold water.
- The more you use your pan, pot, dish, etc., the more the patina develops and the better they get!
Netherton Foundry is a family-owned business located in South Shropshire.
Once the cradle of the Industrial Revolution, it was the "Silicon Valley" of the 18th century. Today, Netherton Foundry continues the knowledge and traditions of the Shropshire iron masters of the 18th and 19th centuries, particularly Abraham Darby.
"We want to revisit the values that inspired this incredible period of creativity and energy."
Netherton Foundry has made it their mission to produce everything using materials sourced primarily from Shropshire and its neighboring counties. And for subcontracting work, to only work with the best craftsmen in their region.
Another goal of Netherton Foundry is to minimize their impact as much as possible. They already know all their materials, and their suppliers.
They only use quality, durable materials.
Every creation can be restored, and it even improves with time!
Everything is recyclable, from the iron to the natural packaging used.
