The CAST AMBER collection is designed to evoke feelings of nostalgia and comfort, as if gazing at an old photograph. Designed by Kosei Shirotani, it is a materialization of his "Uninterfering Design" philosophy. It represents a minimalist and functional approach that seeks for the object to recede, allowing the experience to take center stage.

Kinto was founded in 1979 in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, in a rural landscape with no train station or main road nearby.

It is there that designers create simple, beautiful, and functional objects: a Japanese philosophy designed for everyday life.

In 2023, KINTO FARM was launched, a farm created from scratch on raw land, serving as a field for exploring a way of life connected to nature, the seasons, and the community.
