A real trapper's pan in "black embossed iron", ideal for cooking over a campfire or stove (as well as on any heat source, stove, oven, induction, etc.)

The handle, held by solid brass wing nuts, can be removed for easy storage in your backpack, and carrying your pan anywhere! The wood of the handle (British oak) can also be removed for use in the oven.

Similar to the properties of cast iron, but much lighter with a 50% lower weight, spun iron, 99.1% pure, offers excellent cooking performance, very high conductivity and heat storage, heats evenly, withstands ultra high temperatures.

Seasoning allows very healthy cooking, without fat, it is the natural non-stick solution. Already seasoned with natural organic linseed oil, Netherton products are ready to use.

Unwearable, improving over time, a Netherton product is passed down from generation to generation. Each product is "turned" by hand, each piece is unique and may be significantly different. Handcrafted in Shropshire (UK).

  • Available in diameters 20, 26 and 30 cm
  • Optional cover
  • Removable handle: 19 cm
  • Removable oak handle
  • Diameter of the upper edge: 20 cm
  • Base diameter: 15 cm

    • Exceptional performance, similar to cast iron but 50% lighter.
    • No chemicals or PTFE are used in the pan coating; absolutely no chemicals.
    • The Sussex edible organic flax oil coating is easy to wash and naturally non-stick. The coating can be easily restored at home.
    • Spun iron products are ultra-durable and can be used at very high temperatures. Suitable for all types of hobs, grills and ovens, barbecues and campfires.
    • Iron is a simple, pure metal that is easy to look after and fully recyclable.
    • Each product is handmade using regional resources and the best local craftsmen.
    • A Netherton pan or pot is for life; you will pass them on to future generations!

    Care:

    Use:

    • Be patient; before flipping food, let the Maillard reaction take place—it’s so much better! Surface caramelization preserves the natural juices of the food while keeping the inside tender. It will release easily.
    • Do not cook food straight from the refrigerator; let it come to room temperature.
    • Heat slowly, then you can use full power. This is particularly important if you are using high-power stovetops such as induction.
    • Remove handle covers for use in the oven or under the grill; it’s very simple.
    • Never plunge a hot pan into cold water.
    • The more you use your pan, pot, dish, etc., the more the patina develops, and the better they perform!

Netherton Foundry is a family-owned business located in South Shropshire.

The former cradle of the Industrial Revolution, it was the "Silicon Valley" of the 18th century. Today, Netherton Foundry carries on the knowledge and traditions of the Shropshire iron masters of the 18th and 19th centuries, particularly Abraham Darby.

"We want to revisit the values that inspired this incredible period of creativity and energy."

Netherton Foundry has made it their mission to produce everything using materials sourced primarily from Shropshire and neighboring counties. And for subcontracting work, they only work with the best craftsmen in their region.

Netherton Foundry's other objective is to minimize their impact as much as possible. They already know all their materials and their suppliers.

They only use quality, sustainable materials.

Every creation can be restored, and actually improves with time!

Everything is recyclable, from the iron to the natural packaging used.
