1945: Tempered glass is glass heated to 700°C and rapidly cooled. This makes it 6 times stronger than standard glass, capable of withstanding temperatures of 130°C and higher. Originally used in the industry, Duralex was the first manufacturer to use it for tableware and everyday items.
1961: Launch of the first “mass-dyed” glass, a revolutionary technique created by Duralex that allows its colors to retain their brilliance, even after years.
