1945: Tempered glass is glass heated to 700°C and rapidly cooled. This makes it 6 times stronger than standard glass and resistant to temperatures of 130°C and above. Originally used in industry, Duralex was the first manufacturer to use it for tableware and everyday items.

1961: Launch of the first "mass-dyed" glass, a revolutionary technique created by Duralex that allows its colors to retain their vibrancy, even after years.
