MALLARD DUCK CALL - QUELLE EST BELLE COMPANY
Call the friends of rivers and lakes 🎶
The Mallard is the most common wild duck in France.
The male Mallard is immediately recognizable by its glossy green head and neck, separated from its brown chest by a white collar. The female, meanwhile, has speckled brown plumage that camouflages her perfectly while sitting on her nest.
It can be found everywhere, from ponds and rivers to country pools, and even on bodies of water in urban parks.
Using a bird call means learning to recognize birds by their song, communicating with them, discovering them, and observing them…
A bird call is above all an educational nature toy for pleasure, because we believe that we must "know nature better to better protect it".
Each bird call comes in a lovely wooden box, with all the necessary information for its use. Handcrafted in the Drôme region.
Material: Polished boxwood

Imitating the Mallard
Quack quack is far too simple. Hold the bird call tightly in your hand, against your palm. Open it while saying "Coi coi coi," while blowing gently, several times in a row.

MANUFACTURING
Quelle Est Belle Company bird calls have been created and handcrafted for over 40 years by François Morel and his team in the Drôme, on a farm in the heart of lush, preserved nature. This is where he designs, spends a long time perfecting, and tests all his creations. Each bird call is unique, turned, assembled, and varnished by hand. He uses only natural, local wood species, such as boxwood, beech, or linden. There are only 2 bird call manufacturers left in France; the other one is for hunting.

QUELLE EST BELLE COMPANY
« You might think I'm a bit crazy, but oh well… »
From the age of 6, François Morel (not the actor, mind you) began to be fascinated by birds:
« I'm completely crazy about them, that's for sure. When I was very little, what I wanted was to talk to animals. Personally, I think it works. Thanks to my tools for speech, I manage to get a little closer to the birds, listen to them, answer them, and have, from time to time, exchanges…»
A naturalist and ornithologist, François Morel devotes a passion to crafting his bird calls. Rather than being used for killing, François wanted bird calls to become a tool for observing birds. To create these instruments, he combines two qualities. "It's a story of tinkering and a love story." He established his company "Quelle est belle company" more than forty years ago in the Diois, in the north of the Drôme.
Good to know 😉: Björk recently fell in love with his work. She released a Deluxe version of her album "Utopia" accompanied by 14 bird calls, the "Utopia Bird Call Box," manufactured by QBC.
